MONTREAL, September 16, 2022 /CNW Telbec/ – Air Canada has been recognized for its safety culture and innovative use of technology to promote workplace safety. The prizes were awarded to OHS Honorsan event that rewards the best in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) across Canadawhere the airline won the OSH Culture and Better use of security technology categories.

Additionally, Mr. Elfassy, was named to the inaugural class of the OHS Canada Hall of Fame. The Hall of fame recognize CanadaMontreal-based OHS professionals who have demonstrated excellence throughout their careers and who are dedicated to workplace health and safety through leadership, volunteerism and generosity.

The OHS Honors take place every year in Toronto and winners are selected by the editors and publisher of OHS Canada and Talent Canada based on rigorous criteria and fact checks. The OSH Culture Award is presented to organizations that show positive change in health and safety at all levels of the company and demonstrate collective change among leaders and employees towards excellence in OHS, while the Best Use of Security Technology Award is given to organizations that use technology to help reduce injuries and save lives.
