Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes attended Gold Cup game between USA and Canada

Last night, Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes visited Children’s Mercy Park to support the United States Men’s National Team in the Gold Cup game against Canada. The United States extended their unbeaten streak at Children’s Mercy Park with an impressive 1-0 victory.

The United States finished first in their first-round group with an unbeaten record, and they will play in the quarter-finals on July 25. Mahomes appeared on camera, recognized by the many fans in attendance as he strolled the pitch wearing a mask as Sunday’s game began.

He took the time during the field tour to greet American and Sporting Kansas City MLS player Gianluca Busio, who is soon looking to secure a transfer deal with a European club.

Mahomes is no stranger to supporting the United States Men’s National Team as he attended the 2019 Gold Cup game against Panama with teammate Travis Kelce. Mahomes’ fiancee and new mom Brittany Matthews is currently part owner of the NSWL franchise in Kansas City. She was also present for the recent Gold Cup match.
